In 2018 AKTINA Productions, Inc., and AKTINA FM celebrated their 25th anniversary.  On this auspicious occasion, two very important events initiated by New York City Council Member Costa Constantinides were held in New York City to honor the organization and the radio station for, “25 years of outstanding service and contributions.”  The first event was held at City Hall on April 18, 2018 where the Speaker of the NYC Council honored AKTINA Productions, Inc., with a Proclamation during a special ceremony before all City Council members. The second event was held in Astoria, New York where, 27th Street from 23rd to 24th Avenues was co-named, "AKTINA FM Way."  The two news reports posted below highlight and provide full coverage for each of these celebratory events.
